A Nun's Diary

         I am sure we all say to Jesus from time to time, at least, “I truly want to be more faithful, more loving, more prayerful, more generous” on this road of falling, on this road of conversion. Maybe He does not want us to be more, more, more but rather less, less, less, so that his glory can shine, and so that He can show us that He alone will fulfill these longings in our hearts if it is for the Father’s greater glory, and not our own glory and self satisfaction. To be what He wants us to be! As a Cistercian nun that is the greatest gift we can offer Him. It is more perfect than striving for perfection. I’ve tried that and it wears me out and leads me nowhere. Transformation into his idea of perfection for me is all I want now.
