Mount St. Mary’s Wrentham: Sister Teresa (Sr Tess) 60th anniversary of monastic life

On Saturday July 27, 2019 we celebrated our Sr Tess on her 60th anniversary of monastic life. Sixty years is a long time, as our chaplain, Fr Kevin reminded us during the Mass. This long life of fidelity to prayer and praise, labor and service has molded our Sister Teresa into a woman after God’s own heart. One of her often-used phrases, the way she signs most communications, is “Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord!” (Rom 7:25) Her life is characterized by a deep sense of gratitude that flows from her deep love for Jesus Christ and joyful service in community. We are here to serve one another is a personal motto that has been lived out in her self-gift to God and community these many years.
